Emmy Clarke is a queer, autistic children’s writer and poet from South Manchester, now living in Shropshire. Her work for children has been published in Storytime Magazine, Little Thoughts Press, and Stories of Care anthology “Tales of the Bold, the Brave and the Beautiful” (longlisted for the 2023 Children’s Literature Festivals Book Award, in the ‘Young Reader’ category.
Emmy started Changeling in 2022, having received funding and project management training as part of Contact Theatre’s Future Fires scheme.
Currently, she is studying a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing, and working as a Trainee Administrator at World Book Day UK.

Marigold bells

Artist – Changeling Annual 2023
Marigold Bells is a UK-based fantasy artist who works mostly with watercolours, which she uses to create paintings that are dream-like and ethereal. Her artwork often encorporates the female figure as well as elements of Art Nouveau, and she uses a lot of European and Asian folklore as inspiration as well. Outside of artwork, Bells is training to become a British Sign Language interpreter.

Charlie Rose Evans is a writer with ADHD living in Birmingham. She graduated from Falmouth University in 2018, and writes short stories, poetry, and picture books.

Elizabeth Gibson
Poet – Changeling Annual 2023
Elizabeth Gibson is a poet and performer based in Manchester. She has written a one-person show, “The Reason for Geese”, about time-travel, loneliness and animals, and has performed it at HOME Manchester, and Hope Mill Theatre. She loves hiking, baking, playing guitar and, of course, geese.

Mirku
Artist – Changeling Annual 2023
Mirku is a neurodivergent illustrator and visual artist. Born in 1989, the artist lives in Cologne, Germany. It was here where Mirku first got in touch with surrealism. The artist’s favourite materials are watercolour and ink.

REBECCA PHYTHIAN

Poet – Changeling Annual 2023
Rebecca Phythian is a working class and neurodiverse actor, singer and poet from Manchester. Since graduating from The Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts in 2017, Rebecca has performed in a variety of theatre productions, as well as her self-penned play, “Pill”, which she produced with her theatre company, Blue Balloon Theatre. Alongside her career, Rebecca’s poetry has featured in zines, anthologies and festivals all across the UK and her debut poetry collection, “Perfect Mess”, was published in February 2023. She is incredibly excited to be performing at the 2023 New York City Poetry Festival!

PJ is a dyspraxic cartoonist, and was found inside a meteor that had crash landed in Roundhay Park. They are a little like a gremlin, but not much, like fried food, and can only be found in the wild on Wednesday evenings.
